A wooden bed headboard is an easy way to give your bedroom a new and modern look. A beautifully crafted bed headboard is a real eye-catcher, while at the same time it adds rhythm to your bedroom decor by "tying" the bed into its place.

In this article, you will learn how to build a wooden bed headboard using easy-to-install wooden panels. They allow you to create different patterns on your bed headboard, such as timeless brickwork or a trendy herringbone pattern. If you really get into it, you can use the panels to create an entire effect wall instead of just a bed headboard!

A bed headboard made of wood panels is also a very worry-free solution, as wood is easy to refinish if you want to renew the look of your bedroom over the years. Sand and finish the wood panel and your bed headboard will come to life again!

PALA panels are installed with adhesive, so they can be installed by anyone. The other panels are installed with concealed nails, so there are no visible nail heads!

Why is wood a good material for the bedroom?

1) Wood is good for you

Wood is nature's own material, and looking at and touching it is scientifically proven to be good for people. Numerous studies show that surrounding wooden surfaces can reduce stress levels and lower blood pressure. In addition, the acoustic properties of wood help to balance the sound in a room. Wood is therefore the perfect material for bedroom furnishings.

2) Wood reflects light beautifully

Wood reflects light beautifully. The light it reflects is not dazzling either, but makes the surface of the wood come alive. You should pay attention to how the light is reflected in the room at different times of the day, because the wood surface comes to life more beautifully in the light. Wooden panels also add a beautiful dimension to a room, as indirect light creates beautiful shadows in the gaps between the panels.

3) Wood is the ecological choice

Wood absorbs carbon dioxide, which is why its carbon footprint is actually negative. We've produced a comprehensive article on the importance of building and furnishing with wood, which you should definitely read.
