Fire retardant cladding
Exterior cladding panels can be protected with fire resistant paints to the highest fire class B-s1, d0. Fire-resistant panels can be used on the facades of apartment blocks, nursing homes and other buildings of fire class P1. Wood fire protection uses a fire retardant paint which, when heated, forms an insulating foam layer and slows down the fire. The primary purpose of wood fire protection is therefore to limit the contribution of wood materials to the fire. Wood fireproofing is carried out under strictly controlled conditions, in accordance with a production process that is audited and certified by an external operator. All fire-retardant wood must be CE marked. Fire-resistant cladding panels are manufactured for concealed fastening TOPCOAT® panel formats. Concealed fixing improves the weather resistance of the façade by preventing water from damaging the wood from the fixing marks. The panels are also end-jointed. End fitting allows for flexible extensions and reduces material waste by up to 10%.
