Wooden panels are an effective way to create a warm atmosphere and peaceful acoustics in the toilet.

The PALA™ decorative panel is a particularly convenient choice for a small toilet space, as it is glued in place and, with panels already half a metre or a metre long, it is easy to work with even in a small space.

PALA™ panels are splash-proof, so they are also suitable for use in toilets. However, please note that PALA is not suitable for use in saunas or in areas where the panels are exposed to direct contact with water.

Attach easily with glue

Fixing a PALA™ interior panel is exceptionally easy, as you don't need a hammer or other nailer at all. The panel is fixed directly to the wall with adhesive, so you don't need to buy any accessories to make the brackets.

So, to fix the PALA™ interior panel, all you need is the right amount of panel and Siparila Fix adhesive. Other useful accessories include a saw, tape measure, pencil and spirit level.

Our adhesive interior panels can be fixed to stone or concrete surfaces, or to clean wood or plasterboard. However, make sure the wall is clean and free of screed, paint, wallpaper or other coatings.

After fixing the panel, the wall is finished, and you can still finish the look of the toilet with decorative trims if you wish!

PALA™ interior panel installation goes smoothly even in an apartment building

Particularly in urban centres, the use of wood panels in high-rise buildings has in the past caused hesitation due to the noise or transport problems caused by nailing. In the case of toilets, in addition to the above, there may be concerns about breaking the wall surfaces of the wet room with nails.

The PALA™ interior panel also solves these old challenges: it is silent to install thanks to the adhesive, and the panels are so short that they can be easily transported home in a normal car. And there is no need to make any holes in the wall.

PALA™ decorative panels are available in half-metre and metre lengths, and the pre-short panels allow you to create a variety of patterns.

A variety of patterns on the toilet wall with PALA™ decorative panel

As PALA™ is the shortest panel in our range, it is tempting to play with the idea of placing the panels on the toilet wall in a different way to the more traditional horizontal storage?

Brick laying is the most traditional method of laying, with the panel joint typically being created at the centre of the panels in the previous row. Bricklaying

In the case of fish-grading, the right-hand and left-hand panels are mounted at a 90 degree angle to each other. Loading can also be done as a double herring net, where two panels of the same hand are always placed side by side. See herringbone loading instructions "

In vertical stacking, you install the PALA™ interior panels vertically so that the panel seams are repeated at the same point on each layer. Of course, the same stacking idea also works horizontally. Remember that vertical panels emphasise the height of the room, while horizontal panels reinforce the impression of a wide room.

The squares of wood paneling on the toilet wall create a sleek and graphic look to the space. The PALA™ half-metre long interior panels are particularly suitable as a material for the squares.

Whatever style of loading you choose, the most important thing is to make sure that the floor or other starting point is straight, so that the panels are also straight. Draw auxiliary lines on the wall or use a tape measure to make sure your barn stays aligned as the work progresses.

4 benefits you can only get by choosing a real wood panel

Our PALA™ interior panels are made from 100% Finnish birch and thermo birch. Choosing domestic wood for your interior is always a sustainable choice, and you will also get the following unique benefits of wood furnishings in your home:

1. The effects of wood surfaces on indoor air
Wood has a unique ability to absorb and release moisture, i.e. to balance indoor humidity fluctuations. Indoor humidity has a direct impact on indoor comfort and air quality.

2. Wooden interiors affect the senses
Wood has excellent acoustic properties and reflects light beautifully. Touching wooden surfaces has also been shown to lower blood pressure and reduce the experience of stress.

3. Wood is a renewable material
The use of wood accelerates forest regeneration, and growing forests in turn sequester more carbon dioxide than mature forests.

4. No hazardous waste from wood
Wood products decompose or can be incinerated.
