Wide log panels are a traditional Finnish interior option, ideal for wall paneling as they create the look of a genuine log wall. These panels are end-jointed, which ensures a neat and tight fit. The end-jointing also conserves material by removing the need to align the extensions with the studs. Log panels come with an industrial finish in translucent white tones. This surface treatment accelerates the construction process since the panels do not require any additional treatment after installation. 

You can also treat the log panels yourself. In this case, the tongues of the panels must be treated before installation. Wood reacts to changes in humidity by shrinking and swelling, which can cause the tongues of the panels to become partially visible as the panels shrink.
