Helsinki Outlet

The capital region's first outlet village is located next to Vantaa Porttipuisto at the intersection of Ring Road III and Lahdenväylä. Construction of the outlet village started in 2018 and it was fully completed 14 months later. The Outlet Village has 40 retail spaces, two restaurants and an indoor play park. Helsinki Outlet offers a comprehensive range of international and domestic fashion, sports and interior design brands. The outlet village has a total gross floor area of 15 500 square metres.

The facades of the Helsinki Outlet were softened with wood panelling. Ebenholz 3164 was chosen for the exterior cladding boards, a warm shade that beautifully brings out the naturalness of the wood. To ensure the building's top fire safety, the cladding boards were industrially fire-protected. In addition to the shade, industrial fire protection gives the wood a protective layer that slows down the progress of the fire. Fire-resistant cladding panels must always be CE marked. The CE marking requires that the fire retardant product used has been approved by an accredited research institute and that the factory carrying out the surface treatment has been approved by an external certifier. Siparila uses water-based fire retardants in its panels, the application rates of which are closely monitored during the surface treatment process by weighing. Inspecta Kiwa inspects Siparila's fire protection process twice a year.
