Renovation of the hotel changing rooms improved the overall sauna experience

Finlandia Hotel Alba in Jyväskylä, Central Finland, has renovated its sauna and changing room facilities. The project was carried out in cooperation with Sauna from Finland ry, which promotes the Finnish sauna brand and brings together experts in the field. Siparila’s panels in the hotel's changing rooms contributed to the successful outcome.

The renovation of the sauna and changing room facilities at Hotel Alba was motivated by the need to improve the sauna experience and increase customer satisfaction.

"We strive to create spaces that not only meet but exceed our customers' expectations," says Katri Paakkari, CEO of Finlandia Hotel Alba, in a video by Sauna from Finland. The renovation included the sauna facilities and the changing rooms, which are essential parts of the sauna experience.

The renovated changing rooms used Siparila's USVA and STRUKTUURI interior panels. The pearl grey USVA panel was used on the walls, and the striking sand-colored STRUKTUURI panel was used on the ceilings. Together, the panels create soft contrasts in the spaces, allowing the best qualities of wood to be seen and felt.

"In the sauna renovation, we made the dressing room area much more comfortable than before," says Paakkari.

According to Paakkari, the new sauna facilities improved the customer experience and satisfaction. Female customers, for example, have already requested a more extended sauna shift to enjoy the sauna experience properly.

Sauna from Finland recommended Siparila's products for the project

Sauna from Finland is an international association that promotes the Finnish sauna brand and brings together experts in the field. Sauna from Finland's experts recommended Siparila’s products for the Alba's project.

"The sauna experience is about a holistic experience, which is why it is important that the materials also bring some warmth, authenticity and durability to the space," says Carita Harju, Sauna from Finland's Executive Director. 

According to Harju, Siparila's products were a natural choice for the renovation project of the sauna and changing rooms in the hotel:
