Tuomi-Logistics premises - VIRE island

The new premises of Tuomi Logistiikka Oy will house the majority of the company's personnel, instead of the previous six different locations. The design of the working environment had to take into account the diversity of work and the different needs of the employees. In the concept of a multi-space office, the premises act as a kind of work tool, from which employees can choose the working environment that best suits their particular job. Individual spaces are shared by all and, alongside personal workstations, they provide options for working. For small meetings and pair work, the space includes meeting and group rooms, as well as more open group spaces and armchair groups.

The interior design themes of harmony, tranquillity and closeness to nature are reflected in the choice of materials, colours and spatial solutions. The acoustic design of the space aims to soothe the sound environment by choosing acoustic materials and taking into account the movement of people in the open office space. Wood as a material contributes to softening the acoustics and as a textured surface to diffuse sound. The elegant VIRE panel in off-white as a scaffolding contributes to the interesting structure and elegance of the space as an interior design material. It also adds a sense of warmth and naturalness, which are important elements in creating a comfortable working environment. A green wall in a wood-panelled partition wall aims to have a calming and stress-reducing effect.
