Island cottage

In this vacation home built in the archipelago, nature has been incorporated into the design. The design aimed to highlight elements found in nature—such as coniferous trees and gray stone—in both form and color. The goal was to build a spacious, clean-lined, and sustainable vacation home. The facade was constructed of larch, which turns gray over time.

The goal was to create a seamless transition from the interior to the beautiful natural surroundings, which pour in along with the light through the large windows of the living areas. Natural wood was chosen as the surface material for its breathability and durability. The sand-colored textured interior panels create a warm and vibrant atmosphere. The rough surface of the panels was intended to highlight the untouched beauty of nature.

. Qubo Interior drew inspiration for the color scheme from the needles of a coniferous forest, which served as the basis for the cabinets’ shades. The green hue blends well with the sandy tones and creates a peaceful, forest-like atmosphere. Handle-less doors were used on the cabinets to give the kitchen a clean, unified look. Dekton was used for the kitchen countertops, as it is highly resistant to wear and tear, temperature fluctuations, and sunlight.
