The cornerstone of long-term cooperation is a comprehensive and reliable service

Insinöörityö Hentinen has been a customer of Siparila almost since the beginning of Siparila's history. The company used Siparila's expertise and products in dozens of its projects and the construction of its new premises in 2021.

Insinöörityö Hentinen Oy is a domestic construction company based in Joutsa, Central Finland, and is the main contractor for both new and renovation projects. Founded in 1989, the company operates mainly in Central Finland and surrounding areas. Working in the same region provided a good start for the cooperation with Siparila.

According to Ilkka Hentinen, Managing Director of Insinöörityö Hentinen, the close location and shared contacts created a good basis for cooperation. Still, they would not have been enough in themselves to sustain the collaboration for more than ten years.

"Siparila's product development has played a major role in our cooperation. The construction industry was a sector with little product development for a long time. In the past, a builder would pick up a bundle of panels from a sawmill, paint them, and do everything else himself. Nowadays, however, you can buy complete service packages and choose the best solutions for all parties involved, which is possible when working with Siparila," says Ilkka Hentinen.

Siparila's products were a natural choice for the office project

In October 2021, Insinöörityö Hentinen built new premises for the company in Joutsa, on Jousitie, a streetscape of national importance. Therefore, the appearance of the building had to be approved by the architect of the Museum of Central Finland. Siparila's premium mid-coated SILVER cladding met the criteria, giving the building a dignified appearance.

According to Tuukka Hentinen, Technical Director of Insinöörityö Hentinen, Siparila's cladding products are a safe choice and, therefore, also a good choice for the cladding of their premises:

"We have been working with cladding products for a long time at various sites and have never had any problems with them. They are a safe choice, and we chose them for the cladding of our premises."

SILVER-treated cladding panels were used for the cladding. SILVER is a premium mid-coated cladding that gives the building its final color during construction. SILVER has a paint film thickness close to its ten-year service life, but it must be repainted once due to its top-mounted system.

"As the treatment promises, SILVER has only required one cladding application on our sites. No other treatment has been required on any sites," says Tuukka Hentinen.

Siparila also supplied fully finished rough-sawn timber boards and eaves boards for the open eaves of the building. The panel on the underside of the canopy in front of the building was also SILVER-treated. The exterior corners were finished with Siparila corner molding, which was also used for the window reveals.

Siparila products were also chosen for the interiors. White VIRE-interior panels can be found in several places in the building - near the exit, with fire protection, and in the conference room, for example, without fire protection. In addition, Siparila supplied the necessary skirting boards, cover strips, and window boards.

Insinöörityö Hentinen has used Siparila products in dozens of projects. If necessary, Siparila has tailored solutions to suit the projects, provided the client's architect had a clear vision that just needed the suitable materials to be realized.

"Siparila's people have always taken the initiative and organized things so that the client got the products they wanted," Ilkka Hentinen says.

As a representative of a Finnish SME and an entrepreneur, Ilkka Hentinen is also firmly in favor of domesticity:

"It is great that in Finland it is possible to process a widely used raw material, wood, as far as possible. Domesticity and increasing the degree of processing are great things, and Siparila has been able to support and develop them."

Tuukka Hentinen also highlights the comprehensive nature of Siparila's service:

"Bulk products can be found anywhere. However, Siparila has had no problem delivering even small batches, and it is important that the whole package is available from one place and that everything is delivered at once."
