Allas Sea Pool
The Allas Sea Pool in Katajanokka, Helsinki is an impressive piece of wooden architecture designed by primary architect Pekka Pakkanen from Huttunen-Lipasti-Pakkanen. The wooden clad building and poolside deck are all fire-retardant. The Allas Sea Pool is an oasis of well-being and experience, with facilities and courtyards of incredibly diverse uses. The exterior and interior of the main building, as well as the outside terraces, are all made of Nordic white wood. The chilled cafe and restaurant halls dominate the interior and facilitate thoughtful views of the pools, the sea, and the city; the building’s roof terraces give a completely new perspective on the sea in Helsinki. The pool deck area of the Allas Sea Pool comprises a total of 9,000 m², of which 2800 sq ft floating dock areas and a total area of 1 800 m². There are 3,800 seats in the area, 853 square meters and 69 meters in swimming pools. This exquisite pool is open to city residents all year round.
